Dr. Thomas L. McKeon

Dr. Thomas McKeon’s 46-year career in higher education and workforce training most recently includes 17 years as executive director of the Roanoke Higher Education Center where he coordinated the program offerings of its 16 members: public and private colleges, universities, and workforce training organizations. Previously, he served as director of continuing education and clinical professor of educational leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. McKeon began his career at the University of Virginia serving in several capacities in continuing education and university outreach. He also served as associate commissioner of the Virginia Employment Commission responsible for administration of the federally funded Comprehensive Employment and Training Act in Virginia.
