G3: Get a Skill, Get a Job, Get Ahead

Project Overview

AccessU teamed with The Hodges Partnership to support the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) in brand development, advertising, video, content creation, web design, and statewide PR communications for the launch of the G3 program. This comprehensive campaign was fast-tracked, developed, and launched in less than six months and achieved great success. We worked diligently with public information officers from all 23 colleges to build consensus and drive support from these very different schools. The result? After the program launched, AccessU measured traffic from the VCCS website to see initial program interest and benchmark awareness performance.

In the first month alone, we achieved:
• 54K new users (124% increase)*
• 102K+ pageviews (98% increase)*
• Avg. time on website up 15%*

Perhaps more importantly, the effort increased enrollment in G3-eligible programs by 9%.

Challenge Results




Our campaign to promote G3-eligible programs increased enrollment in those courses by 9% despite broader challenges to community college enrollments nationally. I attribute our success to the smart, effective, and efficient campaign that we created and executed with our partners, AccessU and The Hodges Partnership. Those savvy, agile firms worked seamlessly with each other and my VCCS team. The goal-focused partnership inspired trust which allowed us to generate, test, and evaluate strategies and tactics collectively and continuously – improving throughout the effort and delivering terrific results for our colleges and the students they serve.
