Rescue Mission of Roanoke

THE OVERVIEW: Since 1948, the Rescue Mission of Roanoke has been a lifeline for families, the homeless, and anyone experiencing hardships. For a fraction of what it would normally cost, they provide a food pantry, healthy meals, free basic healthcare, and more vital services to transform and restore lives. Donations make it all possible.

THE CHALLENGE: To close a looming fundraising gap for 2024, they reached out to AccessU. We created a campaign called Hope Is, built around their incredible buying power and how even the smallest donations could create life-impacting change. For example, hope is a warm bed for as little as $25. Hope is a healthy meal for just 68ยข a plate. The holidays, typically a time of charitable giving, was targeted for the push. Tactics included targeted email, social and print.

Rescue Mission Roanoke saw a 39% increase in donations in just 41 days.

THE RESULTS: Overall, the campaign generated more than 775,000 impressions and 11,152 clicks in just 41 days. Overall donations increased 39% year over year in the same period. The client was thrilled, and we hope to replicate this success with other fund-raising initiatives in 2025.
