Olivia Polumbo
Project Manager
Olivia is “nosy” about people, but in a good way.
She’s curious about their lives, their stories, and what motivates them to enroll in a college, buy a product, or even donate to a non-profit, for example.
It’s all in the details.
That passion led her to pursue a career in communications with a degree from Virginia Tech. Out in the workforce, she learned the secret to business success: Building relationships. In other words, earning people’s trust and respect. That’s easy-peasy for Olivia; it’s something she revels in doing.
At VMI, as a social media specialist, she navigated the rivalry between the “new corps” and “old corps” by listening to both sides and finding common ground.
And as a digital marketer for senior living, she got to know her clients, empathizing with their needs (even at such a young age!).
At Accessu, she’s building relationships with clients such as Goodwill and the Virginia Community College System.
As a brand steward, Olivia is comfortable with 30,000 ft. thinking as well as in-the-weeds minutiae. Every aspect of marketing fascinates her.
Her hobbies include CrossFit, cheering on the Hokies, and planning for the ultimate relationship-building event — her upcoming wedding in July 2025.
Fortunately, her love of details should come in handy there.
