Project Overview
Being a non-hub, regional airport in a post-9/11 pandemic America isn’t easy. Merging carriers, high fares, cancellations, and new regulations are daily challenges. The Roanoke Airport Commission has partnered with AccessU for more than two decades to conduct consumer research and stakeholder consensus building, gathering business intelligence to empower our advertising, PR, and communications efforts.
Past campaigns have had tangible effects on public perception with documented shifts in public comments by community and business leaders with social media engagement increasing by 77%.
AccessU also supported ROA for a flight-specific campaign to help support underperforming jet service to NYC. We created a national-caliber spot on a small budget in less than 72 hours. Over the run of the campaign, flight usage dramatically increased 145% in just three months. We’ve also offered public relations support for a multi-year master planning effort and created the airport website. Each year, we do a series of videos that continue to engage business and leisure travelers on the many reasons to FLY ROA.
