Ricky Parker

Ricky Parker is the executive director of the Ruth Coles Harris Leadership Institute at Virginia Union University’s Sydney Lewis School of Business. Parker currently serves in several roles at Virginia Union University, including adjunct professor of marketing, research associate at the Center for African American History & Culture, and curator for the Museum of African Art. Parker also serves as an adjunct professor of advertising at Virginia Commonwealth University. Outside of his work in higher education, Parker operates a creative firm with his wife, Whitney, called Dream For Purpose and, in his dedication to community activism, serves on the board of directors for ART 180 and the Poe Museum.
