At age 8, Riley inherited his grandfather’s VHS camcorder and launched a series of shows from his bedroom called You are Responsible (quite a sophisticated title for such a young kid). He played all the parts, including one of his most memorable characters, Chef Pistachio. From those early days of amateur video production, Riley acquired a lifetime passion for directing, filming, and editing.

After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University, Riley nurtured his talents working for television stations and production companies and doing side gigs such as music videos and YouTube series. He also excelled in the marketing department at Radford University as their videographer and editor, so he knows how to make a college stand out.

On a shoot with clients, Riley is the unflappable one with a laser-like focus on storytelling. “Always be creating” is his mantra, whether it’s finding the most unexpected shots or making everything mesh in the editing bay. He believes it’s important to own the entire production process from beginning to end.

And that’s just the kind of responsibility his 8-year-old self would appreciate.
