Project Overview

Virginia Tech (VT) is consistently named among the top public institutions in the U.S. Our team has helped Virginia Tech in a broad range of capacities. When AccessU was asked to develop new admissions messaging emphasizing VT’s hands-on educational approach, we created the VT Moment campaign. The work showcased special insights that defined what it truly means to be a Virginia Tech Hokie. The all-digital campaign included social media and a microsite. The site generated a 73% increase in traffic and a record-breaking number of applications, representing a 12% increase. We also developed a comprehensive transit advertising program for the DC-based VT Language and Culture Institute which resulted in a 10% enrollment increase. When VT found that the institutional tagline, “Invent the Future,” did not connect with students on campus, AccessU created an experiential campaign to help bring the brand to life. The effort was recognized through a CASE Award. And, two years before going public with its first billion dollar capital campaign, our team was in the trenches, helping create a campaign identity, brand guide, and more than 20 department case statements. Fundraisers exceeded the lofty goal, raising a total of $1,112,703,977.
