THE OVERVIEW: The Blue Ridge Partnership for Health Science Careers (BRPHSC) is a collaboration of educators, employers, and economic development professionals in the Roanoke and New River valleys, the Alleghany Highlands, and the greater Lynchburg region. As members of GO Virginia Region 2, BRPHSC is committed to improving health sciences education and aligning instruction to meet the workforce needs of the region’s health employers, including hospitals, health systems, long-term care facilities, and biomedical companies.
THE CHALLENGE: AccessU helped create the brand, refine the identity, and develop the new website for this emerging brand. This included in-depth sessions to create complex student career journeys and messaging to engage the diverse target audiences, including culturally authentic content translation in five languages.
THE RESULT: This dynamic new partnership is making an impact. “This Healthcare Highway model helps to really articulate pathways for students through their journey of education into the workforce,” said Shirley Bazdar, program manager of the Claude Moore Scholars Program. Winchester Public Schools Superintendent Jason Van Heukelum commented, “This is a model program.”
