Roanoke City Public Schools

Sometimes the challenge and overview are easily stated: create a new logo for Roanoke City Public Schools. The task of navigating the diverse stakeholders and creating consensus among leadership, students, and community members is never easy.

THE RESULTS: We succeeded, on time and on budget, and were thrilled to see our logo unveiled and installed on the new downtown headquarters for the system.

Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) partnered with AccessU for the development of the new RCPS logo. Their team facilitated focus groups with students, staff, and families to learn what was important to consider in the development of a new logo. They then presented concepts to these groups gaining feedback, which helped to inform the final design. Throughout the process, AccessU and their team were responsive, flexible, and listened to turn the vision of the RCPS community into a vibrant new logo. RCPS has also benefited from AccessU’s expertise in public relations and communications and values the role their staff plays as thought partners for the school division.
