THE OVERVIEW: The mission of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide; the Urban Land Institute Foundation (ULIF) supports its research and programs. This mission is more relevant than ever. A thriving organization with dual foci of global and hyper-local issues, ULI is uniquely positioned to positively impact and improve communities around the world.

THE CHALLENGE: In advance of the launch of a new comprehensive fundraising campaign, ULI selected AccessU to completely revamp the ULIF website. The goal was to include a reliable and clear method for giving
and increase conversions. The new site needed a multi-disciplinary team to assist in discovery, messaging, design, and
user experience, as well as development and training.

THE RESULT: AccessU delivered a new site that includes a dedicated section for the campaign, specially selected images and video assets, financial information, and campaign goals. This historic effort aims to raise $100 million to further ULI’s global mission of shaping the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. To date, the campaign has reached 70% of its fundraising goal, and campaign gifts are already creating impact.


We were looking to completely redesign our website, which had been built in 2012 on a 2010 platform and then largely ignored, and we presented AccessU with an exceptionally aggressive timeline. Not only did the AccessU team meet (or beat) all key dates, they provided the quality work and creative thinking we needed to produce a truly beautiful and functional website. Not to mention what a pleasure it was to work with the team. Thrilled with the experience and the result equally!
