Central Virginia Community College

Project Overview

Central Virginia Community College came to AccessU after more than a decade of consecutive yearly declines in enrollment. The administration admitted it was time for bold changes. They allowed our team to engage students, faculty, stakeholders, alumni, and the community at large to better understand brand equity and how best to move forward. The result was a candid dialogue about the lack of brand consistency and a need for enhanced graphics and a forward-looking plan for moving ahead. The AccessU team developed a new logo and retooled the college’s 50-plus disparate logos into one clear family of identification hierarchy. We also launched a fresh and innovative digital campaign using new tools and tactics with a real-time dashboard to measure KPIs daily. The results have been monumental. The summer enrollment campaign showed dramatic increases in impressions and conversions as well as huge increases in new visitors and website visit duration times. Before AccessU was hired CVCC faced a 37% decrease in enrollment over nine years. After rebranding and a new digital enrollment campaign, CVCC realized a full-time enrollment increase of 24.47% and a headcount increase of 24.92%.

The website has been overwhelmingly well received. People are applauding its appearance as much more attractive, its tone as far more inviting, and its navigation as a lot more intuitive. You’ve hit not just a home run but a grand slam. Thank you—and congratulations—for a job well done! We’re grateful for all you’ve done for us and thankful that we can count you as our partner.
